My new job demands that I system and execute a sizable in-person event each year, and it may not seem like a sizable deal, but let me assure you, it is, hotels rip off the companies that use their space! The food is expensive by about many times what it should be, and every little thing costs a silly amount of money.
This year, the two of us were in a contract with another organization to do the event together, which seemed like a good idea.
Then, the virus came along, and now there is no in-person event, so our contract with them became null and void. They did their own virtual event, and so, the two of us are not having an event at all, which is bad for our budget, but straight-forward on my workload; Anyway, I signed up to attend the virtual event, and that has been enjoyable because I get to appreciate my own At the hotels, the Heating as well as Air Conditioning is always either too warm or too cold. They can never seem to get the settings right. One time, the Heating as well as Air Conditioning was absolutely broken! It was a nightmare, and attendees were so miserable. Of course, there was nothing I could do about it, but I did manage to find the switches to turn on the ceiling fans while the two of us waited on the repair. So, it is nice to attend this virtual event in my pajamas or leggings in my kitchen computer and with the ceiling fan blowing full blast and the thermostat set on a comfy 79 degrees. It’s kind of boring, though.
