If you haven’t been married before, let me tell you what it’s really like.

Everything starts out great right after you walk down the aisle.

It seems like you are going to live in wedded bliss when you first start cohabitating together and building your mutual life. However, this sensation never lasts long as the pressures of life and personal differences inevitably start piling up. After that, you start turning against each other and having nasty fights that don’t really need to happen. This is something that I realized within a few months of marrying my wife. In particular, we are constantly getting into irrationally difficult fights over the central heating and cooling equipment that we both use. When we moved into the same house it was obvious that we were going to have to make some compromises on our indoor air temperature control system. Both of us had very different ideas when it came to ideal temperature settings and air quality control devices. Specifically, my wife does not like to use our central heating and cooling system. Meanwhile, I don’t understand the point in owning a central HVAC system if we can’t ever use the thermostat. However, I have learned that it makes more sense to abide by my wife’s HVAC rulings than to disobey her. Heaven forbid I touch the central heating and cooling system thermostat and we see a reflection of the HVAC usage in our Energy bill at the end of the month. At that point, I might as well go to sleep in the yard without any indoor air handling devices. My wife’s brutal wrath is not going to let me back in the house.
