I can see that I need to make some big adjustments to stay “in” with this ever-changing world. That’s why I decided to hire an interior decorator to completely redo my house, especially the living room. She recommended that we go with a modern Hollywood regency theme. I didn’t know what this meant until I looked it up. Basically, a modern Hollywood regency furnishing makes my house look like the movie stars. You stick with a simple color scheme and build from there. For example, the interior decorator wants to make my living room mostly just black and white: white sofas with a black rug, white walls, black end tables, and blue lamps with blue curtains.
