Maintenance on the air conditioning system is very important.
When my wife and I bought a brand new air conditioner for our house, we decided to pay for a 3-year maintenance and service plan.
The three-year maintenance and service plan wasn’t very expensive and it helps us to make sure that our system is maintained while we are still paying the large bill for the HVAC system. Last September was the first time that we had a full-service tune-up on the air conditioning system. The full service tune-up is included in the price of the service plan. All we had to do was contact the experts at the heating and AC repair center and schedule a time for the service tune up. I thought that the service was very thorough. I was here during the day when the maintenance professional arrived to perform the standard service. During the service appointment, the maintenance professional checked the air filter and the area in that compartment. He replaced the air filter with a brand new one. He checked my thermostat and made sure that it was reading the proper temperature. He tried to talk me into buying a smart thermostat but I’m happy with my basic programmable machine. The professional cleaned the outdoor condenser coils and he also made sure that the drainage line was completely clean and clear. He didn’t mention any major problems or issues with the system, so I would say that we got a clean bill of health during this year’s AC service checkup. I can’t believe they do this for us every year for the cost that we paid for the maintenance plan.
