I was surprised the other day when I opened the door and there was an HVAC worker there.
- He had an air purifier in his hand and he asked if I was interested in improving the air quality in my home.
We clearly didn’t make an appointment with the HVAC company, and I asked this guy if he was actually soliciting door-to-door. He apologized and said he was and he would go if I was bothered, but he said he was providing a great deal for these air purifiers that had a pretty good retail value, but they were going for half the cost. I asked him what was so special about the air purifier. He told me that first of all, the air purifier uses HEPA filters which catch 99.9% of contaminants from your air. He also said these weren’t normal air purifiers, they were UV air purifiers. They use the UV light to eliminate harmful contagions in your home. These air purifiers even work to get rid of mold spores, bacteria, and dangerous viruses. That seemed like a lot, but it did seem like something I might want to use in my home. I finally told the guy to come in so we weren’t letting the AC escape the house. I gave him a drink and I got the money to buy the UV air purifier. He did a quick demonstration on how to use it and he said I would enjoy this air purifier as it’s the same one he uses at home. I hope that guy was genuine because I’m going to be mad if this air purifier doesn’t last.
