My pet hates the heat.
He is a very large, fuzzy husky as well as he was bred for sub-zero temperatures! No wonder he hates the usual temperature out here in the desert.
Huskies are supposed to be pets with boundless internal energy. That is true of my guy however only when it is cool outside. If it is warm then you might as well immediately forget it. He doesn’t want to do anything besides stay indoors near an a/c vent. I can’t say that I blame him. If I were wearing a big heavy fur coat I wouldn’t want to run around outside in the sun either. Both of us recently moved our lives to a new house. Of course the pet came with us, both of us are a family. I wasn’t sure he would actually appreciate this new house though because the a/c vents are all on the ceiling. There are no available air vents on the floor around as there were in our old house. This did not turn out to be an issue. That is because the smart pet found an even better place to cool down: the floor in the half bathroom. The downstairs bathroom is tiny. And yet, there is an a/c vent in there. This means that when the a/c is on it is always more than chilly in that bathroom. It is uncomfortably cold, so much so that I was thinking of actually having our air conditioning repairman turn off the vent to the tiny bathroom. Well, I have since easily changed my mind. It seems that my pet has deemed that bathroom to be his own ice cave.
