Six weeks ago, I used up the last of my cheap air filters and I upgraded the box in my closet with a box of HEPA filters. Since that time, I have become a believer in HEPA filters; they absolutely do work better, and I absolutely do breathe better. Now that I am using the HEPA filters, though, I am starting to want good indoor air pollen levels even more than I did before. You can’t get too much of a good thing, right? So, I started to look online and I asked the flu symptom doctor what the next step is after HEPA filters. The doctor said I might want to look into getting a whole house air cleaner. Wow, just the sound of that sounded like the price would be astronomical, so I had my doubts. But then I started looking online; true, an air cleaner is an investment, but it is not as lavish as I expected, or as complicated, either. It turns out that the air cleaner works in conjunction with your heating and cooling unit. While your air gets cooled or heated – mostly cooling because I live in the south – it can also be purified. The air can get pumped through an air filter that removes smoke, pet dander, bacteria, and allergens before it comes out through the air vents. I suppose it makes good sense to use a UV filter along with it. If I understand always, there are other air filters, but the UV air filter is the best. The UV light is used to kill the reproductive systems of bacteria, and even viruses, to get them gone from your life.
