I am what you might call a loyal customer.

When companies are developing new marketing campaigns and loyalty programs, they are trying to attract people like me.

I’m the sort of consumer who finds a product or service that I appreciate and never stops returning to the source. I don’t bother researching new suppliers or alternative products, because I am perfectly happy with what I have found. That’s why I have loyalty punch cards to almost every business you can imagine. From coffee shops to home cleaning services to my heating and cooling providers. You might think that sounds obsessive, but the benefits are enormous. Recently, I’m happy to say that I filled up my heating and cooling punch card by arranging enough professional repair, maintenance, and diagnostic appointments with my favorite heating and cooling dealership in town. For the past 10 years I have been utilizing the same HVAC dealer, the same HVAC equipment, and the same HVAC technician for all of my indoor air quality control means. I knew that someday my loyalty would pay off, and today my HVAC obsession is going to save me big time. A few years ago when the HVAC shop started offering a customer loyalty program, they made the lofty promise of free HVAC maintenance and repair services for a year if you accrued 10 punches on your loyalty card. You better believe that I have filled up that card as my HVAC system has gotten older. This year, I anticipate a lot of indoor air quality control repairs and appointments… And they’re all going to be on the house.
