I used to get excited about toys, movies, and TV shows back when I was a kid, but things are definitely different when you become an adult.

• I don’t care a bit about new clothes or cars or the latest technological gadget these days.

What I really care about is having the best indoor air quality available, which means that I’m always looking forward to having my HVAC technician over to the house. Whenever I make an appointment with my local heating and cooling business, I always write it on the calendar and then I count down the days until it’s time. I know this sounds pretty silly, but the thing is that I really love to see the HVAC truck pulling into my driveway. That’s because I know that when the HVAC technician comes into my house, he’s going to completely clean my ventilation system, my air vents, and my HVAC unit. He’s also going to change my air filters and check to see if my air conditioning or heating system needs any maintenance or repair work done. I always love the fact that the HVAC technician goes over the list of everything that he did to my air conditioner and my heating system, too. It makes me feel like I’m in the loop and I know what’s going on. I also think that when he leaves, the indoor air quality in my house always feels a hundred percent better! Being an adult means that you’re more excited for an HVAC tune up than you are for a new toy or going to see a new movie.
