I’ve taken off time from comedy to just clear my head and relax.
I think I’ve been on stage almost 2000 times now and I’ve had so many fond memories of it. I feel that my best shows ever were about five years ago but maybe there is still some gas in my tank to do some more great shows. I’ve been playing a lot of volleyball the past two years since taking my hiatus but now it’s time to go back to the lights of the stage. I can feel it calling me during the quiet times of my days. I miss the musty old smell of the air conditioner in the club I was performing at in the summers. We had some of the best times at that bar and I would love to recreate it here in my new town with my own show. The new heating units in this club don’t have the musty smell I miss, but I can still find things that I love about this new place. The owners are very excited about doing shows and I am too, knowing that some fun times are coming down the pipe for this sleepy little town. I think I will invite the HVAC representative and see if he wants to perform in the show. He’s really good at playing the guitar and I would like to do some songs with him. Maybe he could also check the air quality system in the club so that people are not breathing in dusty old air during our shows.
