I’m the sort of person who likes to hit the road whenever things are feeling stale in my life.
I don’t really like to just sit around and live the same day on repeat like it’s Groundhog’s Day.
I much prefer to get out and see some new sites when things have gotten a bit too mundane. This is one of the reasons why I found myself at my best friend’s house last weekend on an extended visit. I was extremely happy to soak up some warm air and some sunshine as I travelled across several states. When I reached my best friend’s house I anxiously threw my bags on the floor and we began hanging out. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that it was going to get rather chilly outside that evening. The warm air of the afternoon quickly turned into a brisk 50-degree evening. My friend’s heating, cooling, and air quality control system automatically detected the change in climate and adjusted the central heating and cooling system to be more appropriate with the indoor air temperature. This meant the heating system started working. Too bad that I had no idea the furnace was running, pumping out high-quality indoor air, and sending the hot air flow rate through the ductwork. The hot-air was then emerging through the air vent which was directly below my backpack. Inside of my backpack was a large bottle of champagne… Which did not appreciate the extra heat. You can imagine our mutual surprise when the bottle of sparkly booze abruptly exploded in my backpack and a cork went shooting around the room. Welp, looks like I’m here and ready to party. All we needed was to heat things up a bit.
