At the start of this pandemic I was extremely motivated to do the best that I could with my time off of work.
I didn’t want to be one of those people who laid around and gained a bunch of weight in their boredom.
I decided that I was going to start working out regularly so I could at least prepare my body for my re-emergence into society. Unfortunately, as the pandemic has raged on it has become very difficult to keep up with my workout goals. Now that the outdoor air temperature is rapidly decreasing I find it’s a lot more difficult to get outdoors and move my butt without freezing. I really like to move my workouts indoors so I could utilize modern heating and cooling systems to make my exercise easier. However, I’m still not ready to return to the potential airborne contaminants that are contained in a public gym. Obviously, when you are talking about people working out in a shared indoor space, you also have to consider the pollution that is being pumped into the air. No traditional heating and cooling system is going to be able to filter viral particles from the shared indoor air. This is why I decided I should build my own at home gym where I can manage the indoor air temperature and air quality without exposing myself to potential airborne contamination. I already have a central heating and cooling system which will adequately manage the indoor air temperature and air quality. The only thing I’m missing is a few pieces of workout equipment. Once my private volume of indoor air is serving my workout goals I know that I will get back on the exercise train.
