Mike and my sibling had a plan about how they wanted to become homeowners. They live in the same city, and are both single. So, they could work together on this plan without needing to consult with lots of people. Mike and my sibling both work great jobs, however the prices of houses have increased so much. So, the best thing for them to do was pull their resources together. They would buy one house, then save up and get another later on. They planned to live together in the first house, then part ways once they got the next one. I live abroad, despite the fact that I would have enjoyed to be part of this team effort. They called with great news when their offer on the first apartment went through, then now, it was time to start a few renovations which included sorting out the heating and cooling. The apartment came with an aging heating and A/C unit, so they planned to install a current one. The only issue was they didn’t agree on the best heating and A/C unt to install in their current home. I am a Heating and Air Conditioning specialist, so they knew I would give them the best advice. I informed Mike and my sibling that the best was a geothermal heat pump, however those aren’t cheap. So, the next option is to go for a typical A/C for the mild summers, and a gas furnace for the brutal winters. They’re yet to make up their mind, despite the fact that I know they will soon because winter season isn’t too far away and they need to get started.
