I have a high tolerance for stress at my workplace. I like what I do. I am a server at a diner that honestly serves honestly good food, and the wait staff and the cooks are honestly nice people who are pretty talented. It’s just that the owner enjoys to do things a particular way and he enjoys saving cash to a fault. I know he grew up with honestly little as far as I have heard and he believes in saving cash as much as possible, however one of the things I cannot ignore anymore is the fact that he is unwilling to service the a/c of our diner. He simply puts fans in the dining part to work in conjunction with the ceiling fans. He’ll even leave the door open on afternoons that he deems to be pleasant. I could swear that my buddy and I end up losing clients on sizzling afternoons. I am not just imagining it, because I’ve seen some of them walk in and realize how sizzling it was inside the diner and then walk out! Of course, my buddy and I have some regulars who know that the food is good enough to stick around for, however things are starting to get out of hand. It’s just that the man’s so stubborn and that my buddy and I could literally all insist on having a meeting with him and tell him in unison that the a/c needs to be fixed and he really wouldn’t listen. Many of us have told him individually, although I know my buddy and I honestly do need to sit him down as a group because my buddy and I haven’t tried it yet, to be fair!
