Grandma lived in a little brick house type house! By house style, I meant a one room house style, however it consisted of a sizable room that was designed to be the home office, kitchen, and home office all in one with a little cooking section towards the back.
It was absolutely cute, with a two person dining table and a day bed that served as bed and couch, Grandma’s little new home was satisfactory for her.
I remember when Grandma’s air conditioner took its last breath, but grandma had used a window air conditioner to cool her new home in Summer and space gas oil furnaces to heat her new home in winter… When her window air conditioner passed away, I was sure that we could update it with a window air conditioner that also had a heating element. But we found something even better. When Grandma and I went looking for a new air conditioner for her, we l received about a ductless mini-split air conditioner and gas furnace that is simple to install and energy efficient, then the indoor component sits is fastened to a wall or ceiling and Grandma can open that window again; Another good things is that it was simple enough to install that our handy husband was able to do it. It was as simple to maintain as the window air conditioner and Grandma won’t need the space gas oil furnaces anymore because the mini-split also provides heat. I was pleased that Grandma and I were able to find that ductless mini-split for her and I am excited that she is so pleased with it.
