I have gone through almost every genre of employment.
For years I worked in kitchens of all kinds, mostly doing dishwashing plus light food prep work. The food prep was limited to breaking vegetables for the line cooks, giving them more time to work on getting the orders filled. I liked being able to shut myself off in the dish rooms while listening to music on my iPhone. But it was constantly difficult work, especially on evenings where there would be an unexpected rush. I might be washing my last fork plus all of the lights are off plus all of the other employees have gone home for the evening. Around this time I figured that it wouldn’t hurt to look for other employment options. Instead of focusing on unique work categories, I just went to the general section time employment tab to see what was available at that time in my general vicinity. I found a loading plus hauling task at a nearby concert hall. Aside from banquets plus private events, they also host concerts of major artists love Sara Evans plus Todd Rundgren. The task entailed unloading the buses plus storage trucks for each musician or band that played at the event center. The amount of audio plus stage device needed for each concert was impressive. The event center had a substantial lighting rig that was available for whichever groups were playing each evening. It was one of my more exciting craigslist tasks.
