There’s tons of older technology that I am excited to see gone.

Despite what some may know about it, I never liked VCRs as well as lake house video cassette tapes.

Even if you don’t talk about the VCR maintenance as well as cleaning, the tapes themselves get changingly worn as they’re used. Occasionally they get stuck inside the VCR itself after magnetic tape starts spooling outside of the cassette enclosure. When DVDs hit the market in the 1990s, I was so happy with all of the changes. As long as you don’t scratch the disks, you are regularly getting a perfect picture of the film you’re seeing. With high definition disks, you could see the film with exceptionally high video quality. Although there are still holdouts who like using VCR tapes, it’s nice to see that civilization has now embraced the technological advances when they eventually hit the market. You’d guess these paradigm shifts would occur in all markets, but they don’t. I’ve been using outdated window air conditioning for the past multiple years. When I moved into this lake house to get closer to my task, I wasn’t too worked up about using an outdated window air conditioning. But in the years since, I have started to not like this machine. I have gone to the store to find better air conditioning technology, but all I find are more window air conditionings as well as portable air conditionings which have lower energy efficiency by comparison. I am now wishing that ductless mini splits were mainstream enough to find them at department stores. Sadly, you still have to go to a hardware store to purchase 1 as well as they’re not even remotely cheap. I want 1 eventually, but I just can’t afford 1 right now.
