My son was on one of those teams and he was devastated when he found out that he could no longer play football.
I went to the league president and I demanded to know why the teams were cut. The guy told me that it was a budget problem. They didn’t have any sponsors for the teams and they were forced to make some changes. I told the guy that my AC repair company would be willing to sponsor a team if it meant my kid could play ball. The guy thought I was kidding, but I was honestly serious. I knew it would be great advertising for the AC repair company. The guy gave me a list of the items that each sponsor had to provide. I have to be honest. The list was very long and it was filled with more items that I thought we would need. The kids needed uniforms and hats with our team name and sponsor logo. I also had to provide all of the sports equipment and a place for the kids to practice each week. I talked to a printing company and we came up with a unique logo and design that features my AC repair company with a baseball flare. The new uniforms will be ready for the first game of the season. My kid is excited that he will get to play this year, but we certainly have a lot of work to complete.
