My mom is always nagging me to dress warmly.
I wonder if she knows that it’s actually not true that you can catch a cold from being cold.
I was going to a summer house party with a bunch of friends and my mom told me to grab a sweatshirt. I didn’t want to but she insisted. So, I finally threw an old sweatshirt in the car in order to make her blissful. Boy am I glad that I listened to her nagging! The lake house the party was in was cold. I mean they had the A/C component blasting away all night long, and with my cut-off shorts and tank top, I was super cold. I finally went outside and grabbed my old sweatshirt from our car. I didn’t look stylish, however at least I was a bit warmer. I don’t know how everyone else was able to handle it. People honestly made a lot of comments about how cold it was in the house. The homeowner pretended not to hear them. Either that or he didn’t have access to the temperature control. I am not sure which. I assume a lot of people throw parties when their parents are away. I don’t know this guy really well so I don’t have any knowledge of the family dynamics at all. All I do know is that the A/C component was way too low and every one of us were all super cold. The party ended up wrapping up a bit early because we were all so uncomfortable. I was happy to get into our heated car and drive home. At least our house has comfortable temperature control settings.
