When I moved into my house it didn’t come with a washer and dryer.

  • Thankfully my parents live right down the road and they have a nice working set.

It just stinks carting a full laundry basket to their house twice a week. I need to wait for it to change over to the dryer setting and then drive back again once it is done. Can I afford a washer and dryer? Yes I absolutely can. I am waiting for my husband to vent the washer and dryer properly in the designated room. He also has a bunch of tools that need to be cleared away. Additionally, I don’t want to spend that kind of money on a washer and dryer. I am hoping to remodel my kitchen and I want to save every penny. Our HVAC system is threatening to quit too. It started out with a high pitch screech every now and then that you only heard outside. The issue with our heater and AC has steadily risen to now the unit always makes a loud noise that I hear inside. It is 17 years old and I am expecting it not to live very long. If I need to buy a new HVAC unit suddenly, I am not going to be happy I just bought a washer and dryer. Technically that set can wait since I have easy access elsewhere. The HVAC might not die for another few years though. So it is a risk no matter what I do. What is the smart move here?
