I have never actually had exhausting air quality in my cabin because I keep up with air duct cleaning and air filter changes… I consistently use pretty good quality air filters with a good MERV rating, but the thing is, I began wondering about how good HEPA air filters are when I saw them advertised.
I wondered how much better my air quality really would be. I thought about it for a little while before I finally decided to order a box of HEPA air filters for my Heating as well as A/C system, however when I started using the HEPA air filters, I couldn’t guess that the air quality absolutely did get better over time. I didn’t guess it was possible, but the HEPA air filters absolutely pull 99.9% of contaminants from the air. The high quality pleated air filters are great, even for those who suffer from dust sensitivities, but they definitely are not better than HEPA air filters! Once I was done switching to HEPA air filters, I can say for sure that I will never go back. I was absolutely talking to some friends of mine about my recent switch to HEPA air filters, and they told me that there was something else I could do to improve my air quality that I was missing. I didn’t have any idea as to what it could possibly be, so I wanted to know. That’s when they told me I could invest in a UV media air cleaner. I just about hit myself on the head for never thinking about that. I had been hearing about UV media air cleaners and how they work to scrub all the air that flows through the air duct. They also kill harmful germs that are in the air. I guess I’m going to have to make that investment.
