Our community came together, along with my HVAC buddy, and got it done for her

I once lived in a city. There was a sense of community there like we were all dealing with this. However, it was much different than the sense of community I had grown up with. I lived in apartment during that period of my life. And the only thing they had in common was HVAC systems that left a lot to be desired. I couldn’t afford the really nice places as I was just starting out in my career. However after nearly a decade, I was in a position to move to a rural area much like the one I had grown up in. This felt good and the sense of belonging was much stronger there. One of my first friends ended up being the HVAC person who installed my new HVAC. As part of the sale of my house, I negotiated a much better price on the house if I replaced the HVAC. It was old but the seller had no interest in doing it himself. Fine by me because I saved thousands on the final sale. Where I live isn’t exactly a neighborhood but it’s a community of people who look after one another. It’s a great feeling and I’m proud to be a part of this group. I was particularly proud how we handled helping one of our neighbors when she found herself in need. Her HVAC failed and she didn’t have the money to replace it. Our community came together, along with my HVAC buddy, and got it done for her. My HVAC buddy got the replacement unit and sold it to us below cost and then threw in the installation for free. Pretty awesome to be able to be a part of something like that.
