Before I got my current job, I was quite picky and stubborn with the options that came my way, until my dad pushed me to grab an opportunity at one of his old friend’s repair stores. The Handy AC Service Stop has been my work station for about five years now. The company was established to cater to my remote town whose residents have a hard time getting proper service from the metropolitan city a driving distance away. Having no knowledge of HVAC systems, my duty was to plan the day for our HVAC serviceman and arrange for meetings, repair appointments, pick up dates, and restock HVAC products for sale. Such products include air purifiers, filters, and ductwork equipment. Our sales section is very small, mainly because the HVAC business is dedicated to performing HVAC maintenance, HVAC installation, and fine-tuning central air conditioning. Since I joined the company, I have learned more about HVAC and familiarize myself with the many different parts of quality air conditioners. I have also taken note of the evolving nature of HVAC technology to keep up with the changing demands of the market. As much as I interact with clients almost every day, ensuring that their air conditioner service plan is up to date is my biggest task. Although I am not responsible for keeping track of seer ratings, I always have to ask clients if they are familiar with the term and ask if they know the current reading of their equipment. While here, I have witnessed my employer take part-time classes to upgrade his knowledge of heating and cooling products. I hope to fully get into the sector in a few years because I find the market quite interesting and essential.
