There’s a huge amount of older technology that I am glad to see gone.

Despite what some may know about it, I never liked VCRs plus lake house video cassette tapes. Even if you don’t consider the VCR service plus cleaning, the tapes themselves get decreasingly worn as they’re being used. Occasionally they get stuck inside the VCR itself after magnetic tape starts spooling outside of the cassette enclosure. When DVDs hit the market in the 1990s, I was ecstatic with the changes. As long as you don’t damage any of the disks, you are always getting a perfect picture of the movie you’re enjoying. With high definition disks, you could see the movie with state of the art video quality. Although there are still holdouts who like using VCR tapes, it’s nice to see that mankind at sizable embraced the technological advances when they eventually hit the market. You’d understand that these paradigm shifts would occur in all markets, however they don’t. I’ve been using this old window a/c for the past numerous years. When I moved into this home to get closer to my work, I wasn’t too worried about using an old window a/c. But in the years since, I have grown to dislike this machine. I have gone to the store to find better a/c technology, however all I find are more window a/cs plus portable a/cs which have lower energy efficiency by comparison. I only wish that ductless mini splits were mainstream enough to find them at department stores. For some reason, you still have to go to a hardware store to purchase a single plus they’re not even remotely cheap. I want a single eventually, although I just can’t afford any at the moment.
