I have been so nervous lately.
The reason for this is something that you would probably laugh about.
I actually skipped my HVAC tune-up before the winter months. I know, it’s such a foolish thing to do as you are taking a serious gamble with your heating system. If that furnace actually goes out on me anytime during the winter, I definitely am going to have to pay the price. The cost to fix your heating system in the winter is very costly. The reason being is because the HVAC companies are incredibly busy working on heating systems during this time and if your HVAC goes out during the holidays, you are seriously out of luck for the most part. You will have to pay for emergency HVAC services, and they are typically triple the cost of regular HVAC services. If I only would have gotten my HVAC system tune-up, I wouldn’t be feeling so nervous all the time. Every single time the HVAC system fires up, it has me feeling worried. I have heard the burners in the furnace struggle to light up a few times. I figure that the furnace needs to be cleaned out by the professionals or something because one time I heard the igniter click about 5 times before the burners finally lit. But it only did that a few times, other than that it usually lights right up. I wonder if there is a problem with the furnace that I can fix on my own. I think I might check some DIY furnace maintenance videos and see what can be done.
