A yellow jacket is a category of wasp that is found in many diverse parts of this country.

They can be found in moderate weather conditions and cold weather conditions, alike.

Most yellow jackets are known for their black and yellow pattern. It resembles a tiny jacket on their tiny bodies. These predator pests occur in colonies and the larger females can pack a sizable sting. My Dad and dad had to call an exterminator in order to get rid of a sizable yellow jacket nest that was located under the back porch. My dear old parents did not use the back porch for years and years. It had seasoned furniture simply standing on 1 side and seasoned appliances standing on the other side. The roof was previously cracked and the boards on the floor were warped and bent. My parents definitely wanted to remodel the garage and the porch, but they needed some help. When they first met with the supplier to discuss the job, the girl crawled under the porch to look at the current foundations. That’s when she saw the yellow jacket nest. The supplier told our parents right away that the yellow jacket nest needed to be removed before she could complete any of the necessary labor on the house. My parents called a pest control service to get rid of the horrible yellow jackets. The lady in charge of the job told our Dad that the nest had easily more than 10,000 wasps inside. The nest had been there for many years or longer. The girl who was in charge of the removal told our dad that it was 1 of the greatest bee infestations that she has seen in a residential home.
