Being a certified heating and air conditioning specialist I have many responsibilities.
Sometimes and more often always, it is requiring me to work overtime.
I really don’t mind the overtime because it means more money for me and my family. But sometimes it gets to be a little much and I have to turn it down. The heating and air conditioning company that I work for seems to be calling me every weekend the last few months for emergency heat and a/c service calls. The next weekend they do this I am going to have to turn it down. It is up to me if I decided to take these emergency heating and air conditioning repair offers or not. But I just need a serious break and need to work a simple 5 day work week for a while. This overtime stuff is really cutting into personal and family time. And after all, even being a certified heating and air conditioning specialist I need to have some kind of work/life balance. This is very important. Not only is it healthier for the body and mind, but when you have a family like I do, you need to have time for them and not be running off to repair someone’s central heating and air conditioning system unit every single 30 mins of each day! In another 6 years I should be able to retire or at least cut down to part time work at the local heating and air conditioning company that I work for. However for now, I have to keep on working.
